Christmas Day Fire: 6 Police Barracks Destroyed

A Christmas day fire outbreak has destroyed
six houses at the Nigerian Police Force, 'A'
Division Barracks, Jos, Plateau State.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the fire
started at about 9.00 p.m. from the top floor of
the two storey building.
"Only two out of the eight flats on the block
survived the inferno after neighbours and men
of the Nigeria Fire Service put out the fire," one
of the victims, a lady who declined to give her
name, told NAN.
Mr Dominic Esin, Deputy Police Public Relations
Officer of the Plateau Police Command, who
confirmed the incident, said the cause of the
fire had not been determined.
He however said property worth millions of
Naira were lost in the inferno, adding that no
life was lost.
