Position Overview:
The Financial Manager is to
coordinate and record all the
company’s financial transactions
and to contribute to the short and
long term profitability of the
company, by ensuring effective
coordination of payable, fixed
assets, inventory, budgetary and
costing as well as provide effective
and accurate information for
management in line with
company’s policies, accounting
standards and statutory
regulations in order to achieve the
overall objectives of the company.
Responsibilities:
The incumbent is responsible for
monitoring of the usage of
materials, production analysis, and
transfer analysis.
The He/She safeguards the
company’s fixed assets and
ensures that the asset register is
maintained as well as carries out
verification exercise on periodic
basis.
He/She ensures that the
company’s finished goods stock
policy is maintained in order to
avoid inadequate levels of
inventories and to maintain
sufficient inventory for smooth
sales operation to corporate profit
maximization.
The incumbent ensures effective
capturing of daily finished goods
and reconciliation of current stock
account daily.
He/She coordinates the
preparation of the company’s
Annual Budget and Revision in
line with the corporate goals and
objectives.
The FM prepares monthly
standard form account and
financial statement (statutory
accounts) on time and also liaises
with financial controller in
preparation of accounts and
information for inclusion in the
annual report and management
review purpose.
